An Ayurvedic Approach To Staying Cool

Ayurveda has been an interest of mine for many years – as far back as 
1999/2000 when I worked in an Aveda lifestyle store and was surrounded by their 
approach in incorporating this centuries old way of medicine and herbal remedies
  into their personal care line.


The science behind Ayurveda still keeps me captive to this very day and 
eventually I hope to turn my love and interest into a true study and 
practice.


Two years ago I took a test to find out my Dosha type.Dosha is 
understood to be each of three energies believed to circulate in the body 
and govern physiological activity, and that the fundamental energy of life 
expresses itself through the three Doshas; Vata, Pitta and Kapha. 
 According to Ayurveda, your Dosha is determined at the moment of 
conception,when the Vata, Pitta and Kapha from your parents’ bodies unite to 
create your constitution.


However, the constitution you were born with is affected by day-to day 
factors such as your lifestyle, work, people you spend time with, and the food 
you eat.  Seemingly every ounce of all the abundant energy we surround 
ourselves with.


Through vedic principals, it’s believed that to live optimally in balance 
your Dosha should be in fact, IN balance. So, my result you ask; Vata-Pitta, I 
am what’s considered bi-doshic. Seems as though many people  share this 
same bi-doshic constitution in which one is more dominant yet both 
prevalent.
